May 22nd

Today we waterproofed our motor/tether connection and mounted it into our frame. We weighed our ROV's total weight with the motors mounted in order to figure out how many pool noodles we will need. We are finishing up our control box which is ready for connection to our motor tether.

May 19th

Today we soldered very motor connection and hot glued to waterproof each of them. Also soldered the power blocks to the control box. Continued building frame specific to our motors and making good mounting points for them.

May 17th

Today we continued soldering for our control box. Finished assembling the main frame with mounts for each motor. We connected our motor wires to the tether wires and need to solder and waterproof our connections.

May 15th

We prepared the tether for soldering and waterproofing with the motor by stripping the wires and putting them through the pvc pipe. Finished making the prototype for the frame, and then got the pvc and cut it. Used heat gun and started putting on LEDs and resistors.

May 12th


5/12/17 - Today we each continued to work on our part of the ROV. We have assembled our motors and began tethering, assembled a prototype of our ROV frame and made additional progress with the control box.

Team Log 5/10/17 - We made the prototype frame for the ROV, practiced assembling the control box and practiced on the soldering board.

Team Log 5/8/17- We perfected our blog and watched safety videos. We experimented with wire stripping and soldering

 5/5/17- We finished up our blog pages and then did our interview. After that, we tried out the ROV's in the kiddie pool.
